From your room you will enjoy a superb view of the mythic Canigou summit. Prades is a cosy town at the foot of the Pyrenees and well known for its cultural activities. Situated 40 minutes from the exciting city of Perpignan  and from the sea, it is also less than an hour from the ski resorts and from Spain. A five-minute stroll will lead you to the centre of town with its many restaurants, shops and cafes.

Located 40 minutes from Perpignan, Prades is situated along the river Têt, on the Road N116 which leads to Andorra and Spain. Every Tuesday the farmers market attracts a varied and lively crowd. The biggest baroque retable of France can be found in the St Pierre church. While Prades still enjoys a mediterranean climate, the Canigou summit (2785 m.) dominates the town.

The world famous Pablo Casals Music Festival (last week of July and two first weeks of August) and the ‘music saturdays’ contribute to Prades’ reputation as a cultural centre.

Villefranche-de-Conflent, a UNESCO heritage site is only 10 minutes away, while the spa town of Vernet-les-Bains is another 10 further.

The ‘Petit Train Jaune’ which climb from Villefranche-de-Conflent to the highest station in Europe at Bolquére is another must for tourists.
