On their vast property amidst pine and oak forests next to the medieval village of Bras, ancient command post of the Knights Templar, Joel and Harald extend to their guests a warm welcome among friends.

Enjoy the luxury ambiance of this Provencal manor with its 5 spacious bed and breakfast lodgings (en suite, double bed), 2 self-catering studio-flats, pool amidst a Mediterranean garden, on-site wellness oasis, with jacuzzi-spa and massage service, breakfast served on the terrace, guest lounge with library, sat-TV, DVD, computer, internet and kitchenette. Situated on the first floor, all our rooms and flats have a beautiful view of the forest surrounding the house.

Thanks to its central situation halfway between the Verdon Gorges and the French Riviera, "La Bastide des Templiers" is the perfect base from which to tour Provence and see most of its famous attractions.

Our area is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. But thanks to its central situation halfway between the Verdon Gorges and the Mediterranean Sea, "La Bastide des Templiers" is also the perfect place to visit most of Provence's famous sights, which can easily be reached within a daytrip. As a member of Green Provence's Tourism Association we may suggest a large variety of cultural and sports activities like hiking in Sainte-Baume, rafting in the Verdon Canyon, great trips to the beaches of Hyeres or the famous rocky bays (Calanques) of Cassis, visits of goat farmers, wine growers, olive oil producers, potteries, Provencal markets...

Booking : To confirm your booking, we require a 25% deposit (minimum 1st night) which in case of a cancellation will only be refunded if the room could be rented to other guests. The balance is due on arrival.

Access :

Bras is a typical Mediterranean village in the heart of 'Green Provence'. Although situated amidst beautiful woods and vineyards, it is easy and fast to reach, because only 5 miles away from major traffic lines like the motorway A8 and the highway N7 (Aix-en-Provence - Nice), north of Saint-Maximin. International Airports are Marseille-Provence (about 45 miles from us) and Nice-Cote d'Azur (about 85 miles).

Traveling by train, you may get off at high-speed railway stations in Marseilles-St.Charles or Aix-en-Provence (40 miles). At those airports and train stations car rentals are available as well as the interregional bus line Nice-Aix-Marseilles "Les Phocéens" (tel. 04 93 85 66 61) which has a stop in Saint-Maximin. We also offer a pick-up service with our minibus (payable).

By car: Take the A8 or N7, leave in Saint-Maximin (A8-exit # 34), head to city center and follow the country road D28 to Bras. In Bras continue to the center until the "Café Nemrod" and after 200 ft. turn left at the plane trees into "Emile Combes" lane. Then simply follow our blue signs for another mile to the hilltop.
