Le Bec, a 16th century provencale Bastide, has stood for hundreds of years amongst the quiet oaks on the borders of the Luberon, 15 km north of Aix-en-Provence.

Life here is peaceful and gentle under the Provence sun, with the serenity of la Trévaresse and its breathtaking nature on all sides.

Le Bec’s location makes it possible to enjoy one of the most beautiful, undisturbed regions in France, with the thriving cultural centres of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, Marseille, and La Roque d'Antheron only a stone’s throw away.

We look forward to sharing with you the pleasure of living amongst these ancient oaks, in a handsome Bastide with a soul and a history that stretches across centuries.

Olivier and Thierry look forward to introducing you to the secluded delights of Le Bec, where serenity is king.

In a nest of vines, orchards, vegetable gardens, hills and fields, Le Bec occupies 40 hectares that back onto la Trévaresse, looking out over the Durance valley where you may let your feet and imagination wander to your heart’s content.

Juliette and Mooky will be eager to show you around this beautiful domaine. Our donkeys, Ninette, Hugues and Paco will sniff out the loot from your wild country walks – the flowers, the herbs, the fruit and the berries…
Thierry, an accomplished painter, will walk you through the various murals and decorated furniture on display at Le Bec.

You will no doubt be tempted by the aromas from the kitchen, which boasts a gastronomic pedigree, in the Provencal tradition, that is as old as Le Bec itself.

Although quiet, Le Bec is far from remote. Le Bec sits at a rich cultural crossroads, a stone’s throw from festivals, museums, galleries and events in la Roque d'Anthéron, Avignon, and Aix-en-Provence.

And let’s not forget the world famous Route Des Vins – the ‘wine trail’ – with its wine tasting events at all the regions’ best tables.

The ground floor of the Guest House (85 m2) has a kitchen/dining room, a lounge, and a bathroom with Italian shower, basin and toilet.
Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: one with a double bed (160 x 200) and the other with 2 single beds (90 x 200), and a second bathroom with shower, 2 basins, and a toilet.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, an electric oven, a microwave oven, a gas hob and a dishwasher.

Sheets, towels and table linen are available.
The Guest House can sleep 4 people and we are sorry that we are not able to welcome any four-legged friends… they may not see eye to eye with our own!
