It is a perfect place to feel far from the madding crowd and either just relax or spend the day visiting the perched villages of Luberon, the Popes Palace in Avignon or even go swimming in the Mediterranean sea, or simply hike on the trails around among the lavender fields. Shopping for food can be done either in Apt, small city 30 minutes from the farm, or in Sault, big village with plenty of charm and there are also several open air markets all around where to find typical provencal goods. We milk our goats twice a day and usually our guests love to participate or at least watch the match! We are also very pleased to explain how to make cheese. We are in the south of France and it is very sunny all year around but at this altitude of 3500 feet we suggest you do not forget your sweaters for your evening walks under one of the purest sky of Europe.

Our farm, on 160 wooded acres, called "Les Espagnols", was built in the 16th century, with stones from the ground, by poor farmers raising sheep and goats and growing lavender. We are in the hart of Provence at an altitude of 3500 feet and the county is called "Haute Provence", land of wilderness, genuine lavender, sheep and goats and homeland of a very famous French writer called Jean Giono. We raise 50 goats since 1976 for cheesemaking and our "Chevredou" is sold to the best restaurants in Luberon, Avignon, Monaco, etc. The apartment we rent was originally a barn built during the French Revolution and, for our guests, we added all comfort, a terrace overlooking the goats, with BBQ, wooden picnic table, relaxing armchairs and lots of flowers in season! The apartment itself is a 70 square meter open space with a queen size bed. and a one person sleep sofa. The open kitchen is equipped with kitchenware, refrigerator, oven, coffeemaker, etc. There is a private bathroom with shower and all linen is provided. Lots of books on the shelves and color TV. As we are sort of busy with our goats, we do not provide any meals but we are very happy to welcome our guests with a drink upon arrival and so proud to offer them a choice of goat cheese everyday! and it is not rare we share a meal with them. This unique place is for wild nature and animal lovers only. In addition to our goats we have three dogs, some cats, a donkey called Flora, and wild pigs and deers are often passing by.
