It is in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in a calm neighborhood that the charming hotel «Sous les figuiers» has its roots. Each of its twelve confortable rooms has a different theme. Most of them have a terrace and a private garden. The magical fragance of age old fig trees incites guests to delightful siestas. This hotel is a little place in paradise, cosy, finely decorated and most of all very wellcoming. If you wish to learn how to paint trompe l’oeil, patina, or frescoes, individual or group classes can be arranged, for a day or a week. One of the hostesses is a quadrilingual artist who will be happy to settle a workshop for you.

The hotel also has a pool and private parking. The surroundings offer many excursion possibilities, an eighteen hole golf course, all types of bike ridding, as well as village festivities and culturaoutings. Sheltering you from the hot provincial sun, and keeps the rooms nice and fresh. A perfect place for siesta and farniente. There are twelve rooms, each of them with it's own personnal touch : different in colour, original furniture, beautiful curtains... We just haven't decided on their names yet. Ten of the rooms have private terraces and gardens, sheltered by old figtrees (we didn't have to think long for the name of the hotel!). This gives a wonderful mediterranean atmosphere. The provence offers a large choice of beautiful sites, landscapes and activities. A region illuminated by the sun painted by so many artists and sung by the famous cicadas. Cultural cities, charming villages of which Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is defe one of the most famous ones. Loaded with history, civilisation and art, situated in the heart of the natural Park the Alpilles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence has an international reputation.
