Close to the main tourist places (Notre-Dame, place des Vosges, Pompidou Center, Le Louvre…)the hotel is situated in the historical and cultural center of Paris at the heart of the Gay quarter, in a 5 storey 17th century listed building.
On the ground floor is the long established gay bar “Le Central”, known as “the International gay rendezvous in Paris”; an ideal place to meet friends and ask for information on visiting Paris.
The barmen (English speaking) act as receptionists when the reception office is closed.
The reception is open from 8 am to 5 pm and the bar from 4 pm to 2 am weekdays & 02 pm to 2 am Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.

The reception is on the 1st floor accessed by the door at 2 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie. I will provide you with information essential to your stay in Paris , both gay and cultural.
A small salon on this floor provides for relaxation and breakfast is served here from 8.30 am until midday

The 7 rooms on the floors above are reached by the original staircase (sorry no lift!). two rooms per floor sharing one bathroom in the short passageway between them; plus a second wc.

On the 5th floor under the eves is a room with its own bathroom & wc: usually reserved well in advance, despite the stairs.

Each room is double bedded gives onto the street and has double glazed windows. Certain rooms can have a small folding single bed as well. There is wash basin, telephone and small wardrobe.
The hotel has a bar « Le Central », the longest established gay bar in the Marais, opened in 1980 and it has maintained it’s authentique “bistro de Paris” belle époque atmosphere.
The convivial international ambiance is designed to encourage social exchange. Here the music loud and intrusive but a background of international and French varieties and Golden Oldies.

- 4 pm to 2 am weekdays
- 2 pm to 2 am Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays

From the station "Gare du Nord" taxi costs about 12/15 € , depending on the traffic.
Or you can take the metro “line 5” direction "Place d' Italie" to the "Bastille" (7 stops) then change to “line 1” direction "La Defense" to "Hotel de Ville" (2 stops).
There take the exit "Sortie rue Lobau" which will be at the end of the platform.

From Charles de Gaulle airport, taxi costs about 45 €, depending on the traffic.

Or you can take the train "RER B" from the airport to "Chatelet-les- Halles", there change to metro “line 1” direction "Chateau de Vincennes" to "Hotel De Ville".
There choose the exit "Sortie rue Lobau" which will be at the end of the platform.

From the metro station “Hotel de Ville”
Take the main street "Rue de Rivoli" in the opposite direction of the car traffic, and you will find "Rue Vieille du Temple" 3rd street on your left.
We are, n° 33 rue Vieille du Temple, at the corner with n° 2 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie, where the entrance of the hotel is.

Michel - Très bien quartier très animé, rencontres faciles, hotel de qualité personnel sympa et avenant. Conseils pour ne pas louper sa soirée dans Paris, bien agréables, ce qui n'est pas si facile pour un bi comme moi...
