Welcome to L'Hirondelle du Lac bed & breakfast a perfect place to base yourself for exploring the beautiful region of the Limousin. We are centrally located in the region so you can benefit from all the sights of all Three departments, Haute Vienne, Creuse and Corréze.
We offer Three spacious, individually decorated double ensuite bedrooms. The rooms have antique furniture.The Red & Lavender rooms offer views of the lake and the Blue room has a street view. We serve a delicious continental breakfast (included in the room rate) either in our lakeview dining room or on our lakeside terrace depending on the weather.Evening meals are also available with prior notice and again can be served indoors or on our terrace.
Our guest house is nestled at the waters edge of the picturesque lake of Peyrat-le-Chateau. The small town of Peyrat-le-Chateau is typical of this region with small winding streets and stone houses. The town has Three excellent restaurants and a few shops that will cater to most of your holiday needs.

| Access : | From the A20 motorway (direction Toulouse) take exit 35 (direction Eymoutiers). Follow this road (D979) until reaching Eymoutiers. You will pass a CASINO supermarket on your right. Take the next left (direction Peyrat-le-Chateau) You are now on the D940. This road will take you to our front door. Drive through Peyrat centre and we are on the left hand side just before you reach the Tower. |

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit chez Christopher et Frankie et c'est bien dommage.
Dès votre arrivée vous vous sentez presque chez vous tant l'accueil est excellent et chaleureux.
La maison et les chambres sont d'une propreté irréprochable.
La chambre (Rose) que nous occupions offrait une vue superbe sur l'étang.
A recommender sans hésitation.

Si vous êtes attiré par les ballades contemplatives, Peyrat le château et le lac de Vassivière est pour vous. Anti-saint-tropez au possible, c'est un village calme et serein, bien réel qui vous attend.L'hirondelle du Lac est un gîte au bord de l'eau, le chant des oiseaux y règne. Tout y est calme et volupté. C'est un séjour bucolique qui vous attend, au coeur du limousin des lacs et des barrages. Le plateau des millevaches et somptueux, les prairies fleuries sont autant d'invitation à la flânerie et au repos.
Christopher et Frankie sont des hôtes adorables, aux petits oignons. la cuisine 100% locale est à la fois subtile et délicieuse.

We had a lovely stay in June at the L'hirondelle de Lac in June - our third vist since 2006.
Frankie and Christopher were really welcoming and friendly and the food at dinner was superb.
Their Chambres D'hotes is perched on the side of a small lake so wonderful views from the comforable bedrooms.
A great location for visiting Limoges and the surrounding area - we will be back again later in the year for sure. Peter and Mark
