Le Manoir de Raynaudes is a simple French manor house from the mid-19th century built around a central courtyard. The barn has been strikingly converted into three apartments, with kitchens and living areas, giving guests space and independence. In the main house we have four chambres d’hôtes, let on a bed and breakfast basis.

Dinner on the terrace is a major feature of manoir life, and is open to apartment as well as chambre d’hôte guests.

The hamlet of Raynaudes, the other side of our lake, has just seven houses and is so tiny it does not appear on many maps. Ten minutes away by car is the local village of Monestiès, quaint, sleepy, but also famous for its remarkable set of medieval burial sculptures, La Mise au Tombeau. The village is classified as 'one of the most beautiful in France'.
Le Manoir de Raynaudes is our home, and we consider our guests as friends rather than customers.

Designed by Ofir Assias Associates, with interior design by Hilary Rudlesden, the manoir was converted three years ago in a fresh, simple and modern style, We aim for understated comfort – lots of space, king size double beds, immaculate housekeeping, fluffy towels and crisp linen. With a maximum of just 16 adults, the atmosphere is quiet and secluded – no bleeping of mobile phones, no children or pets. We also ask guests not to smoke inside the property.

You have the choice of two different experiences: apartment or bed and breakfast.

Our apartments are in the barn across the courtyard from the main house. Named after families who have played an important part in manoir history, they have all been designed for architectural impact and easy living. All enjoy double height living areas for light and coolness and have their own well-equipped kitchens, TV/DVD/CD players, sitting areas and outdoor eating areas.

Caillol (two double bedrooms) opens onto the main courtyard, with its own dining area.  Bonnè (one double bedroom) and Montfort (one double bedroom) have their own private patio gardens with dining areas outside.

Our chambres d’hôtes (bed and breakfast) are in the main house. The rooms are all airy doubles with their own en suite bathrooms. To get your stay off to a luxurious start, we provide towelling robes and slippers, a range of L'Occitane bath products and fresh fruit. (You can also make your own tea and coffee at any time in the orangerie.) A memorable breakfast (starting with freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit from the garden and home-made granola) is included in the room rate.
On the first floor are our largest chambre d’hôtes, Mauricette and Ginette (new for 2007). On the second floor are two more large double rooms (which can be converted into twins) Angèle and Georgette.
