Situated on a peaceful hillside in the Adour Valley Le Château was built in the 18 th century for the then owner, who produced wine from the vineyards that surrounded the property. The house was restored in the 19 th century, although it was no longer used as a Vineyard. It has recently been lovingly restored by the present owners and today the house is surrounded by lush parkland and gardens (once the vineyards) with many beautiful old tree., the gardens, have been lovingly landscaped by the present owners and are just the place for a walk or just for quiet contemplation. In one of the restored outbuildings a sauna has been installed with showers and a rest room. Situated in the gardens there is also an outdoor swimming pool, both of which are for the use of guests. On a bright day the summits of the Pyrenees are clearly visible from the garden of the Chateau.

The guest rooms on the first and second floors offer comfortable light and airy accommodation, each room has an ensuite bathroom with wc. Breakfast is either served in the dining room, or in the garden under the canopy of the unusually named ‘gloriette’(a type of Open Summer House) – highly recommended on warm Summer mornings. There are also two sitting rooms situated on the ground floor that are available to guests.

Tennis courts, and a golf course are situated close by and at Nogaro there is a racetrack. You will have plenty of time to soak up the region of Gasgogne, which is rich in sunflower fields, vast estates, vineyards, picturesque villages, and amazing scenery. “La vie est bonne en Gascogne.” This is, of course, the Armagnac area and the cotes de Saint Mont, Madiran and Tursan are close by. There are, as you would expect, a number of fine restaurants in the locality (from Michel Guérand (Michelin 3 stars) to “les routiers”)
