An atmosphere very different from that of a hotel. Exchange ideas, discover local customs for an enriching cultural experience.
Your hosts : Jean-Pierre and Jean-Yves, ( PACSed, i.e. civil-unioned ) in their forties. We are free mornings before 11 a.m., and evenings after
6 p.m. 30 ; on Saturday, free during the day.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor ( American 4th ), double exposure (with view of street), pleasant, clear, calm, with wooden floors.
The building is of cut stone, substantial, pleasant, with digital code for the front door and intercom, 120 years old. The Impressionist painter Gustave Caillebotte ( 1848- 1894 ) was once the proprietor. Several of his pictures are in the Orsay Museum, including the famous "Les Raboteurs de Parquet" ( The Floor Planers ).
The neighborhood is popular, but calm.

| Facilities: | Private room, 14 sq.meters ( 150 sq.feet ), with a large bed, in a. flat of 60 sq.meters ( 645 sq.feet ) with 3 rooms. Shared sitting room, bathroom with shower, WC. Room is non-smoking, no pets allowed. |
| Meals : | bed & breafast. Continental breakfast included ( tea, coffee, milk, chocolate, bread, butter, jam, fruit juice, yoghurt ).Possible between 7 hours and 10 hours. |
| Annual closing: | checking-in is either between 8:00am and 11:00am or between 6:30pm and 10:00pm. |
| Situation : | By foot, in 25 minutes you are in the very center of Paris or in the Marais quarter. There is also pleasant walking nearby along the canal |
| Access : | The street des Deux Gares is a small street between the Gare du Nord and the Gare de l'Est train stations, in the heart of Paris. It runs parallel to the rue de Dunkerque and perpendicular to rue d'Alsace and rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis. The two train stations are very well served by bus, several metro lines ( subway ), and the RER ( suburban line ). An RER line arrives in Gare du Nord direct from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport. |
