The Lotus Tree
|
Night from 70 € Clientele : Gay Only |
The Lotus Tree gay guesthouse is in one of France’s most enchanting valleys, surrounded by vineyards and lavender fields. With its large pool and extensive private grounds, it is the perfect spot to get away from it all and totally relax.
We offer exclusively to gay travellers a choice of double bedrooms with breakfast available or self-catering studios. Our rooms are comfortable and cool and retain the character of our old stone buildings.
Breakfast is served under the shade of oak trees in our eight acre garden. From the rooms and from the pool there are unsurpassed views of the Cèze river and the medieval village of Montclus.
The valley is dotted with unspoilt villages and towns where the restaurants and cafés serve excellent local cuisine and fine wines. We also have a number of gay beaches right on our doorstep along the banks of the Cèze river. The Lotus Tree is ideally located for exploring Avignon, the Ardèche, Provence, the Camargue and the beaches of the Mediterranean.
The airports at Nîmes, Avignon, Montpellier and Marseille all within easy reach, as is Avignon TGV station.
The Lotus Tree is one of the few EXCLUSIVELY GAY guesthouses in the South of France. We have eight acres of secluded grounds and a large pool making naturism possible throughout.
We offer well-appointed studio rooms with sweeping views over the valley and medieval Montclus. Our studios have king size beds, dining areas, their own bathrooms and kitchenettes. As well as English-language satellite TV there’s a DVD and an iPod dock. We can also offer a two-storey apartment sleeping 4-6. Linen, towels, crockery and cutlery are all provided.
We also have a couple of smaller double rooms which are very popular with guys travelling alone and offer superb value for money. Once again there's satellite TV (including the BBC). All our rooms are non-smoking although smoking is permitted outside.
We are 45 minutes from the historic city of Avignon, which is also where the nearest gay bars and clubs are to be found. The Roman aqueduct, the Pont du Gard, is about the same distance. In another 30min you can be in the Camargue, with its flamingos and famous white horses, or on the gay beaches of the Mediterranean. Some of southern France’s most delightful towns are also within easy striking distance of The Lotus Tree: Orange, Nîmes, Arles, St.Rémy de Provence and Uzès.
